Nortel Networks International FinanceHolding BV said Friday it has agreed to sell its 53.13% stake in Turkish telecommunications infrastructure provider Nortel Networks Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (NETAS.IS), or Nortel Netas, to a consortium.
Nortel Networks said it has signed an exclusive agreement with a consortium of One Equity PartnersTurkish venture capital company Rhea Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (VKFRS.IS) to sell its Nortel Netas stake.
Nortel Networks is the foreign partner of Nortel Netas,a subsidiary of Nortel Networks Corp. (NRTLQ). Nortel Networks Corp. filed for bankruptcy in Decemberis in the process of liquidating its assets.
At 1340 GMT, Netas shares were trading 5.41% higher at TRY58.50, in a 0.62% higher overall Istanbul market.
