Aksu Enerjı Submıts Hıghest Bıd In Two Hydro Power Plants
Turkish power generatordistributor company, Aksu Enerji Ve Ticaret AS (AKSUE.IS), said Thursday it has submitted the highest bid of $56.08 million in a privatization tender for two-state-run hydroelectric power plants.

In a statement, the company said privatization agency OIB Wednesday held the tender for Kovada 1Kovada 2 hydroelectric power plants, located in Isparta, a province in southwestern Turkey.

Turkey plans to sell operating licenses for 52 hydroelectric power plants, which belong to Turkish state-run electricity producer Elektrik Uretim AS, or EUAS.

Turkey is in the process of privatizing its energy sectorthe country's energy demand is expected to grow steadily in coming years.
