Turkey March Industrıal Productıon Up 21.1% On Year
Turkish industrial production grew in line with expectations in March, rising 21.1% in annual terms, data from the national statistics institute TUIK showed Monday.
In monthly terms, industrial production rose 16.3% in March.
Manufacturing output increased an annual 23.9%, electricity, gaswater output rose 6.7%, while mining industry production surged 9.1%.
In 2009 as a whole, Turkish industrial production fell 9.6% on the year.
TUIK revised its February industrial production figure to a rise of 18.0% in annual terms, from a rise of 18.1% previously.
It also revised its February industrial production figure to a rise of 0.7% in monthly terms, from a rise of 0.5%.
