A long-anticipated Israeli takeover of six ships carrying humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip turned bloodyviolent early 31 May, with at least 10 foreign activists confirmed killeddozens injured. Seven Israeli soldiers were also injured, one seriouslyone critically. Other unconfirmed reports said as many as 16 activists were killed. Some 50 people are reported injured.
