Turkey Budget Defıcıt Down 33.5% In The Fırst Half At Try15.4b
Turkey's budget deficit fell 33.5% in the first half to 15.4 billion Turkish lira ($10 billion), Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said Thursday.
Simsek said the primary budget surplus, which excludes interest payments on outstanding debt, was TRY12 billion during the same period.
Turkey posted a budget deficit of TRY5.4 billion in June, he said.
The primary budget balance posted a TRY2.1 billion deficit in June, Simsek added.
