Turkeythe International Monetary Fund couldn't agree on many subjects,municipality incomes,the IMF standby deal was terminated for many reasons, Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Wednesday.
"We had said before that we wouldn't say 'yes' if there is any political imposition on [the]standby deal with [the] IMF," Erdogan told reporters.
Erdogan said the IMF has a view that Turkey doesn't need a standby deal due to its outlook that Turkey is supporting itself economically.
Turkeythe IMF have reached a common opinion that there will be no standby deal with the IMF, Erdogan said.
Asking whether it could be a statement after May, Erdogan said: "It is out of the question that we agree to a standby deal."
Turkey's Economy Minister Ali Babacan said early Wednesday that there will be no discussions with the International Monetary Fund for a new loan program until May.
The IMF is scheduled to visit Turkey in May to conduct a regular assessment of the country's economy.
