The Prime Minister thanked the Policeother emergency services in their dealing with the case of Derrick Bird, a 52-year-old taxi driver who went on the rampage around Cumbria 02 June armed with a shotguna .22 air rifle fitted with telescopic sights, killing 12injuring many more, before shooting himself.
