Turkey Central Bank To Contınue Bond-buyıng Ops Untıl Dec 22

The Turkish Central Bank said Thursday it is extending its domestic bond-buying programwill continue to hold auctions between June 25Dec. 22.


The new program will comprise 30 further auctions, purchasing up to TRY3 billion ($1.91 billion) of domestic bonds.

The auctions will be held every WednesdayFriday between June 25July 30every Wednesday between Aug. 4Dec. 22.

The auctions will have a maximum volume of TRY100 million each, the same as those in the program carried out to date.

The central bank said late 2009 it planned to hold 50 domestic bond-buying auctions by June 23, 2010buy up to TRY5 billion, focusing on one-yearfive-year bonds.
