Turkısh Pm Says Unemployment Rate Wıll Be Cut To 10%

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Tuesday that the government would lower the country's unemployment rate to 10%.

 
Speaking at a meeting of his party in parliament , Erdogan confirmed that Turkey ' s unemployment rate declined 2 . 1 percentage points on the year in the February-to-April periodthat the government plans to reduce the country ' s unemployment rate to a " reasonable " level .

Turkey ' s unemployment rate fell to 13 . 7% in the February-to-April period , down from 14 . 4% between JanuaryMarch , the Turkish Statistics Institute said Tuesday .

The jobless rate was 15 . 8% between FebruaryApril in 2009 .
