Sudan held is first open elections in 24 yearscounting of the ballots continues with the vote count expected to be completed 20 April . Early results confirm that incumbent President Omar el Bashir has won most of the votes already counted by the National Elections Commission with a few districts in Sudanabroad showing him with between 88 per cent94 per cent of votes counted .
