Turkısh Banks' Loans Up 12.4% By End-may
Turkish banks' loans rose 12.4% in the first five months of the yearwill continue increasing, the chairman of Turkey's banking regulator BDDK, Tevfik Bilgin, said Thursday.
Bilgin warned against over-monitoring as it may dent growth in the sector.
According to the latest data, the overall net profit of Turkey's banks rose 18.9% on the year to TRY8.579 billion in April.
