Turkey Regulator: May Make Statement Soon On Try Bond Issuance
Turkey's banking regulator said Thursday it may issue a statement soon on the issuance of bonds denominated in Turkish lira by domestic banks.
The BDDK regulator ' s chairman Tevfik Bilgin said banks ' capital adequacy ratiosliquidity are important for bond issuancethat the BDDK is working on the issue .
A decision on bond issuance should be made after evaluating each bank separately , he added .
According to the latest data , the banking sector ' s capital adequacy ratio rose to 20% in April from 19% a year earlier .
