Turkey Central Bank Sells Try1 Bln At 6.79% In Repo
The Turkish central bank Thursday boosted market liquidity by selling 1 billion Turkish lira ($650 million) in a repurchase-agreement auction.
Bids totaled TRY3.3 billion. The average simple interest rate was 6.79%,the average compound rate was 7.02%.
The repo will mature March 11.
At the last repo, held Wednesday, the central bank sold TRY1 billion at an average simple interest rate of 6.79%.
