Turkısh Central Bank: Inflatıon To Fall When Temporary Effects End

The Turkish Central Bank said Tuesday it expects inflation to shift to a declining trend when temporary effects end.

The Turkish consumer price index rose 0.60% on the month in April, while in annual terms it rose 10.19%, data showed Monday.

The bank said that the increase in annual inflation stemmed from the base effect that resulted from tax cuts in 2009. Excluding the tax effects, there was no increase in the inflation trend in April, it added.
