epa02179957 National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) militant Khageswar Basumtary (R) alias Rahul Brahma being produced by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials at the CJM court in Guwahati city, northeast India, 30 May 2010. Basumtary was accused of involvement in an explosion in Guwahati in 2008was handed over to a joint team of CBIAssam Police by the Arunachal Pradesh police on 29 May 2010. The six-member CBI team went to the Ziro the district headquarter of Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh to take custody of the 25-year-old militant, who allegedly parked an explosive-laden car at Panbazar area in the heart of Guwahati city, capital of Assam state. The blast killed eight personsinjured 30 others on 30 October 2008. Basumatary, along with his wife were arrested at Ziro. The 30 October 2008 serial explosions in Assam killed about 100 peopleinjured 400 more.  EPA/STRINGER
