epa02177666 Detail of a wasted corn harvest covered by volcanic ash at the small village of Las Calderas, province of Escuintla, 58 kilometers south from Guatemala City, on 28 May 2010.  Las Calderas has been completely destroyed after the eruption of Pacaya volcano which left at least one person dead, three disappearedthousands of victims according to an official source.
