Regulator: Turkısh Bank Profıts Seen Down In 2010
Turkish banks' profits may fall somewhat in 2010 compared with last year, Turkey's banking regulator BDDK Chairman Tevfik Bilgin said Thursday.
However , BDDK does not expect it to be well below 2009 , Bilgin said in a news conference .
The overall net profit of Turkey ' s banking sector rose nearly 50% on the year to 20 . 075 billion Turkish lira ( $12 . 8 billion ) by the end of 2009 .
According to the latest data , the overall net profit of Turkey ' s banks rose 21 . 6% on the year to TRY6 . 28 billion in March .
