Poland Copernıcus Funeral

epa02168501 A coffin containing the  remains of Mikolaj Kopernik ( Nicolaus Copernicus ) placed in a special crypt during the holy masssecond funeral of Polish astronomer , in Frombork on the occasion of the astronomer ' s 537th birth anniversary , 22 May 2010 . Remains of Mikolaj Kopernik were found in the year 2005 in Frombork . It took couple of years to recoveridentify the remains . Copernicus was the first astronomer to formulate a comprehensive heliocentric cosmology , which displaced the Earth from the center of the universe .  EPA/ADAM WARZAWA POLAND OUT
