epa02167258 A picture made available on 21 May 2010 shows Georges Braque's L'Olivier pres de l'Estaque (Olive tree near Estaque, 1906). The artwork was one of five paintings stolen from the City Museum of Modern Art in Paris, France on 20 May 2010. According to officials, the paintings were worth up to 500 million Euros, making it the biggest Paris art theft in recent years. The paintings are, according to sources, Pablo Picasso's 'Le pigeon aux petit pois', Henri Matisse's 'La Pastorale', 'L'olivier pres de l'Estaque' by Georges Braque, Amedeo Modigliani's 'La femme a l'aventail','Nature morte aux chandeliers' by Fernand Leger. Guards discovered the theft as they made their rounds at dawn. At 6.50am they found that thieves had disarmed the cut through a windowbroken a lock on an access gate. EPA/UNIVERSAL NEWS AND SPORT . .
