epa02164765 Archaeologists are excavating an intact tomb in the coastal area of Protaras, Cyprus, 19 May 2010. The tomb was discovered on 18 May 2010. The findings are considered of immense archaeological valueit appears that the tomb was used many times during the HellenisticRoman period, i.e. from the 3rd century BC until the first centuries AD. In the tomb, which is a whole complex, four sarcophagi were found, one of which features painted shapes. Furthermore, bones,glassterracotta vessels were found, some of which are whole.
