Fighting over the past two days has left 24 people dead198 injured . The government has launched a blockade of the area around Ratchaprasong , Bangkok?s upmarket commercial district to force the protesters from their protest site but the hard lines leaders of the red shirts from the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship ( UDD ) are refusing to move .  EPA/BARBARA WALTON
