Turkısh Regulator To Probe Turkcell, Vodafone, Avea

Turkey's InformationCommunication Technologies Authority, or BTK, said Friday it has decided to open an investigation against the country's largest mobile phone company by subscribers, Turkcell (TKC), the Turkish unit of Vodafone Group PLC (VOD)fixed-line operator Turk Telekom's mobile unit Avea.

In a statement BTK said it is investigating whether the operators provided statements to the authority that included inconsistencieserrors.
