Tensions mounted as red shirt protesters announced they expected an imminent Thai army attack,Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva spoke on national Thai television refusing a fresh timetable of demands for a dissolution of parliament  from the leaders of the red shirts, the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD),vowing to end the  protest, which has closed off large sections of the city to trafficbusiness for the past six weekscost 26 people their lives in outbreaks of violence.  EPA/BARBARA WALTON
