epa02127870 A handout photograph supplied by the Israel Museum in Jerusalem on 22 April 2010 shows a page from a rare, late 15th-century illuminated manuscript, the Mishneh Torah by Maimonides, considered by many to be the greatest rabbinical figure in Medieval Spain, which will be exhibited in July on extended loan to the Israel Museum after the manuscript underwent a full restoration in the Israel Museum's Paper Conservation Laboratory. The Mishneh Torah is the first systematic codification of Jewish lawwas published in two volumes, the first of which is in the Vatican Library. The manuscript is one of the few works by Maimonides (Rabbi Moses ben Maimon, ca. 1135-1204) originally written in Hebrew, as most of his works were written in Arabic, was completed around 1180.
