epa02128114 Royal BHV negotiator Jean-Luc Dehaene leaves after a meeting with King Albert II of Belgium at Laeken/Laken Royal Castle, in Brussels, Belgium, 22 April 2010. Belgium tumbled into a political crisis on 22 April, a little over two months before it assumes the rotating presidency of the European Union, as its prime minister, Yves Leterme, presented his resignation to the king. Leterme was forced to take the step after his five-party coalition failed to agree on splitting an electoral district including Brusselsits outskirts - the latest issue dividing the French-Dutch-speaking communities that make up the country.
