epa02125746 Thai anti government red shirt protesters shout slogans as they demonstrate against the government as they mann a newly fortified barricade facing a Thai police line in Bangkok, Thailand, 21 April 2010. Tourist arrivals to Thailand dropped dramatically in the face of continuing policial unrest. Three five star hotels in the nearby Rachaprasong area have closed 20 April, announcing plans to stay shut until 25 April, citing safety concerns as thousands of protesters continur to occupy the areablock it forcing hundreds of shops in the high end dristrict to also stay closed. Hotel occupancy rates in the Thai capital have fallen dramatically in the last week as the protesters dig invow to remain until the current government led by Abhisit Vejjajiva steps downcalls new elections.
