epa02124445 Space Shuttle Atlantis sits attached to the external tankmobile launch platform in the Vehicle Assembly Building after the rollout to the launch pad was scrubbed , Cape Canaveral , Florida , 19 April 2010 . The scrubb was caused by lightning within five miles of the rollout /launch pad area . The normal travel tdistance is 3 . 4 miles at 1/ mph to launch pad 39-A . Shuttle Atlantios will have a second attempt at rollout 20 April 2010 at 6 : 00 P . M .
